As a mentor in the Success Works program, you will be expected to complete the Mentor Training Program and adhere to the Success Works Code of Ethics and Volunteer Policy. You should personally embody values that align with Success Works’ mission. Mentors commit to 1-2 hours of fortnightly contact with their mentees and a minimum of 6 months of volunteering. The role includes assisting women impacted by the criminal justice system in successfully reintegrating into the community by providing regular support and fostering a positive, professional support relationship.

In return, mentors benefit from gaining valuable experience, enhancing leadership and communication skills, and making a meaningful difference in someone’s life while building a sense of community and personal fulfillment. Volunteering with Success Works also offers opportunities for networking, professional growth, and a deeper understanding of social issues, all while contributing to a positive change in the lives of others.
