Retail Assistant - Clothing & Accessories Department

As a Fashion & Accessories Department Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in our mission to provide essential services to Central Coast families. Since 1962, we've been making a difference in our community, and our Op Shop is at the heart of this work.
We're looking for fashion enthusiasts who can help us assess, sort, and display our ever-changing collection of clothing, accessories, and handbags, ensuring they find new homes at fair market value. Your contribution will directly support our disability services while promoting sustainable fashion in our community. Key Duties:
Sort and evaluate donated clothing and accessories for quality and condition - Price items according to our Fair Price Promise guidelines and current market values - Identify designer labels, vintage pieces, and premium accessories - Create inspiring displays and outfit combinations that showcase current trends - Maintain organised and tidy department presentation with clear size categorisation - Monitor stock levels and rotate seasonal clothing regularly - Assist customers with style advice and sizing queries - Handle and store delicate garments appropriately (silk, wool, leather, etc.) -
Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of fashion, brands, and current trends - Good eye for quality and ability to assess garment condition - Physical ability to handle clothing racks and accessory displays safely - Organised approach to sorting and categorising merchandise - Customer service skills and friendly demeanour - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Previous fashion retail or op shop experience beneficial but not required - Must be reliable and able to commit to regular shifts
