We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee our organisation’s daily operations. The COO will be a key partner to the CEO, responsible for streamlining ITE’s operational processes, leading teams, and ensuring our programs and initiatives run efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, social justice, and making a measurable impact on the lives of young Australians.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO and Board to develop and implement ITE’s strategic goals and objectives.

- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the organisation, ensuring optimised program delivery, smooth internal processes, and optimal resource management.

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture centred on innovation and continuous improvement.

- Program Development and Execution: Ensure the success of ITE’s tutoring, scholarship, and mentorship programs by setting goals, tracking progress, and evaluating outcomes.

- Partnership Development: Work closely with external stakeholders, including donors, partners, and volunteers, to ensure effective collaboration and resource generation.

- Impact Measurement: Lead efforts to measure the impact of ITE’s programs and continuously improve operations based on data and feedback.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior operational or leadership role, preferably in the nonprofit, education, or youth sector.

  • Strong strategic understanding of nonprofit operations, budgeting, program development, partnerships and team and project management.

  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, resource allocation and management.

  • A passion for education, social equity, and youth empowerment.
