Volunteers for Social Support for Individuals & Groups - Sanctuary Point
About the Groups or Individual Support: Our group provides companionship, friendship, and a sense of community for older adults, at our centre, on bus trips or you could support 1:1 people in their homes or the community. We offer a variety of activities, shared meals, and supportive interactions that enrich the lives of our members.
Volunteer Role:
- Companionship: Spend quality time with older adults, providing them with conversation, a listening ear, and friendly company.
- Activities: Help organize and participate in engaging activities such as games, arts and crafts, bus trips and light exercise. -Shopping: Assist someone in the community to do shopping -Individual Social Outing: Support an older adult in the community to engage in a social outing to support social isolation ie café and a chat
- Meals: Assist with meal preparation and sharing, ensuring everyone enjoys a nutritious and sociable dining experience.
