What We’re Looking For:

• Patience and Positive Attitude: Working in a school environment can be fast-paced and demanding. Your patience and positive outlook are crucial.
• Reliability: As a volunteer, showing up for your scheduled shifts is essential.
• Empathy and Encouragement: Help seniors feel confident by being patient and encouraging. Celebrate their goals, strengths, and keep them active and engaged. Empower them to thrive in their golden years.

Duties and Skills:

• Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with tools like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential.
• Data Entry and Recordkeeping: Accurately maintain information in databases or filing systems.
• Organization and Time Management: Juggle multiple tasks effectively, including setting up classrooms.
• Customer Service: Interact with seniors, maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
• Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other volunteers and staff.
• Discretion and Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information confidentially.

As an administrative volunteer, your commitment includes:

• One or two days per week, with shifts from 9 am to 3 pm.
• The volunteering schedule aligns with the four terms and includes school holiday breaks, following a pattern similar to the NSW school terms.

Our school is conveniently situated in Sydney’s CBD, in close proximity to Town Hall or St James station.
