Chief International Operations Officer

The Chief International Operations Officer is responsible for:
● Overseeing the convenors for NZMUN 2025 (a short tour to NZ to compete in one of UN Youth NZ’s events).
● Running regular oversight meetings with the convenor
● Reviewing event budgets and risk management plans
● Helping to design an itinerary for international tours
● Managing delegate selection
● Helping to review COVID safety protocols
● Developing a plan for which other international activities should return.
Additionally, the Chief International Operations Officer is expected to demonstrate the following core competencies:
*Compulsory Criteria *
● Demonstrated ability to run or oversee large events;
● Proficiency in budgeting and in Excel/Google Sheets;
● Strong oversight skills, leadership and initiative; and
● Strong problem solving skills.
*Desirable Criteria * ● Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
● Ability to support and execute strategic direction;
● Ability to work to deadlines
