Scholarship Writing and Careers Mentor (Volunteer)

- About the Role:
As a Scholarship Writing and Careers Mentor, you’ll work directly with high school and university students, helping them find and craft compelling scholarship applications that stand out based on their career goals. This role is a fantastic opportunity to use your writing and mentoring skills to make a real difference in the lives of young Australians who are experiencing disadvantage.
Responsibilities:

Guide students through the scholarship application process, offering advice and support.

Help students identify their strengths and experiences to effectively highlight in their applications.

Review and provide constructive feedback on scholarship essays, resumes, and other application materials.

Share tips and strategies to help students navigate scholarship interviews (if applicable).
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be attending and/or completed University-level education
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Passion for education and a commitment to supporting disadvantaged students.
- Previous experience with scholarship or grant applications (desirable but not essential)
- Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills
- Availability for up to 1-4hrs a month to mentor students virtually
