ABOUT CHRONIC PAIN AUSTRALIA Chronic Pain Australia is the national voice for people living with chronic pain in Australia. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Australians living with chronic pain by providing education, advocacy, resources, and peer support. We strive to raise awareness and create a more inclusive, supportive environment for people affected by chronic pain.
POSITION OVERVIEW The Volunteer Sponsorship Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Chronic Pain Australia's efforts to engage and retain corporate and individual sponsors for our volunteer programs and events. This is a flexible volunteer position ideal for someone with a passion for chronic pain advocacy, sponsorship development, and community engagement. The role involves identifying potential sponsors, developing partnerships, and ensuring ongoing communication to build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Sponsorship Outreach: Identify and reach out to potential corporate and individual sponsors aligned with Chronic Pain Australia's mission, focusing on core events like National Pain Week and Kids in Pain Week. • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with sponsors, ensuring their needs are met and they feel valued as partners in the mission. • Proposal Development: Create compelling sponsorship proposals and packages that clearly outline the benefits of partnering with Chronic Pain Australia, with a special emphasis on National Pain Week and Kids in Pain Week as key sponsorship opportunities. • Sponsorship Management: Track and manage existing sponsorships, ensuring sponsors receive agreed-upon benefits and recognition in line with expectations, particularly for major events. • Event Coordination: Assist in coordinating sponsorship logistics for key events, including National Pain Week and Kids in Pain Week, ensuring sponsor visibility and engagement across digital platforms, media coverage, and live events. • Reporting & Updates: Provide regular updates and reports to the Marketing & Communications Manager regarding sponsorship activities and results. • Brand Alignment: Ensure sponsors’ values align with Chronic Pain Australia's mission and are effectively communicated in all sponsorship materials and events, particularly for flagship initiatives like National Pain Week and Kids in Pain Week. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • Experience in sponsorship, fundraising, or sales (preferred but not essential). • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. • Organisational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • A passion for chronic pain awareness and advocacy.
