Marketer

When you volunteer at Humanists Australia (HA), you are contributing to an important cause - helping people lead compassionate, ethical and fulfilling lives without religion.
As one of our marketers, you'll be working with our Program Managers and Community Leaders to help drive engagement, program and event participation, and membership growth.
This position involves developing and executing creative marketing strategies across digital, print, and social media channels to increase visibility and attract diverse audiences. The ideal candidate is a dynamic communicator with a passion for social impact, capable of analyzing engagement metrics to refine outreach efforts and ensure sustained community involvement.
Key duties
- Work with Program Managers and Community Leaders to implement marketing campaigns across social media platforms,, on our website and through other channels.
- Make the most effective use of HA’s Google Ads charity grant.
- Assess the impact of ads through engagement metrics, and adjust as required.
- Manage the budget of marketing campaigns.
- Meet online with the CEO and other team members weekly to discuss progress on our programs.
- Contribute ideas about any of our programs in online discussions with other team members.
Skills required
- Experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns for charities using the Google Ads charity grant.
- Experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns on Social Media.
- Experience analysing marketing metrics to assess impact, and adjusting campaigns in response.
- Capability in managing the budget of marketing campaigns.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Good technical skills. Our technical stack includes Zoom, GSuite (Google Drive and Gmail), Squarespace (or similar) for web resource development, and Slack for instant messaging. Training will be provided as required.
- Desirable: Graphic design skills.
