Volunteer Driver Needed: Helping Community Members Stay Connected
EV Strengthening Communities (formerly known as Eastern Volunteers) operates within Metro Melbourne primarily as a community transport service. We have a fleet of 11 sedans and 4 buses that operate out of our Ringwood depot.
Are you looking to make a meaningful difference in your community? Do you have a passion for helping others? We are seeking dedicated Volunteer Drivers to support local community members who are no longer able to drive themselves, helping them regain their independence and stay connected to their community.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, reliable transportation for community members to medical appointments, social activities and other essential locations. Ensure passengers are comfortable and assist with any necessary accommodations. Maintain punctuality and adhere to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times. Build positive relationships with passengers and offer a friendly, compassionate demeanor. Follow all safety and traffic regulations to ensure a secure ride.
Requirements:
A valid driver’s licence A commitment to providing high-quality service and a friendly, patient attitude. Ability to pass a Crimcheck and Working with Children Check. Availability to drive within our service hours.
