About us:

At the Don't Forget My Pet Foundation, we’re on a mission to ensure that no pet is forgotten, and no pet owner is left behind. We support pet owners who are facing difficult situations, whether it’s due to illness, financial challenges, crisis, or other personal challenges, by providing pet care assistance and a loving, temporary home for their furry, and sometimes not so furry, family members. We're a passionate, caring team that believes in the power of community and compassion.

We are currently operating in the Geelong Region, however we want to grow and expand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan & Execute Fundraising Events: Coordinate and host virtual or in-person fundraising events such as charity auctions, pet-friendly galas, and community drives. You'll be the mastermind behind the logistics and creative strategies that make these events a success!
• Cultivate Donor Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with potential donors, partners, and sponsors to secure funding and support for our cause.
• Campaign Development: Create engaging and compelling fundraising campaigns across social media, email, and other platforms to inspire donations and increase awareness.
• Track & Report Progress: Manage donation tracking and provide regular updates to the team on fundraising goals, achievements, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with our passionate team of volunteers, staff, and board members to align fundraising efforts with the foundation's overall goals and vision.

What You Bring to the Table:

• A love for people and their animals and a passion for making a difference.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative thinking and an ability to brainstorm innovative fundraising ideas.
• Excellent communication and networking skills to engage potential donors and partners.
• Previous experience in fundraising or event planning is a plus, but not required!
