Endometriosis Western Australia is a charity established to improve the lives of Western Australians affected by endometriosis.

Reporting to the Events Lead, the Volunteer Events Facilitator is responsible for the smooth operation of events delivered by Endometriosis Western Australia.

Responsibilities:

• Delivery of face-to-face and digital events provided by Endometriosis Western Australia WArriors and eligible members of the Western Australian endometriosis community.

• Facilitate a minimum of 2-3 Endometriosis Western Australia support group events per calendar year.

• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where support group members feel comfortable and are able to learn and contribute.

• Ensure meetings are compliant and are delivered according to Endometriosis Western Australia’s policies and procedures.

• Perform associated administration tasks including but not limited to management of attendance records, confirmation of venue, record keeping, and data reporting.

• Welcome and liaise with support group members, guests, and key stakeholders.

• Ensure the venue is set up and packed up in a timely manner including but not limited to liaising with security to open the venue, displaying marketing materials including banners and setting up the meeting space and relevant technology (camera, film, projector, and/or presentations).

• Manage petty cash tin and donations.

• Opening events, welcoming and managing members and attendees, housekeeping, acknowledgement of country and presentation of material.

About you:

The ideal candidate has:

• Current police clearance

• Strong communication and facilitation skills

• Strong organisational and administration skills

• Empathy for people experiencing hardship and trauma

• Experience using Zoom or other digital communication technology.

• Mental Health First Aid certification (preferred)

• Facilitation training course certification (preferred)
