BBQ Server/Helper
About the Role
Join us in celebrating International Day of People with Disability by volunteering as a BBQ Server! Your main focus will be serving sausages in bread and drinks to attendees and handling payments, helping to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. While your primary duties are serving and taking money, you may assist with grilling if needed.
Key Duties
- Serve BBQ food to attendees, ensuring efficient and friendly service.
- Take money for food sales and ensure accurate transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation at the serving station.
- Assist with stock updates and update signage if items sell out.
- Support the grilling team only if required, but grilling experience is not necessary.
Skills and Experience
- Friendly and approachable, with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to handle money accurately and efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a busy event setting.
- No grilling experience required—just a willingness to step in if needed.
- Reliable and able to follow food safety and hygiene protocols.

For the Love of Dogs Academy (FTLDA) is a charity dedicated to promoting connection and inclusion through the human-animal bond. Our programs provide social inclusion, training, and employment opportunities for people with disabilities while celebrating the joy dogs bring to our lives. This BBQ fundraiser is part of our inaugural event, which aligns with International Day of People with Disability—a global movement celebrating diversity, inclusion, and the achievements of people with disability.
