Bookings Assistant Volunteer (Sydney)

Established in 1990, Open Support is a community service organisation committed to providing assistance to families in need across NSW through the active participation of trained volunteers and staff.
Kids Giving Back (KGB) are a NSW not-for-profit organisation providing volunteering opportunities for children, teens and families. They deliver donated groceries and nutritious meals to people in need from our Community Connections program in two ways:
- School students from the Eastern Suburbs partner with KGB to provide groceries to Open Support clients in need.
- Families come together at the Big Kitchen to cook fresh nutritious meals and deliver them to our program participants.
We need a 🌟superstar volunteer🌟 for 4 - 5 hours a week or fortnight on Tuesdays to do the following:
- Access a live spreadsheet to phone a list of clients
- Facilitate a person centred, socially oriented, friendly conversation
- Take the client's meal and grocery orders and add them to the spreadsheet
- Write notes on the conversation in Apricot (our CRM platform)
- Relay any feedback or concerns to relevant staff as needed
You will need to come into our Darlinghurst HQ with your laptop for an initial training session with the Volunteer Coordinator, then you can volunteer from the comfort of your home if you wish.
IMPORTANT: due to the nature of the role, we need someone to commit for a minimum 6 months.
Please apply now if you wish to help us continue this wonderful partnership between Kids Giving Back and Open Support.
