About Sheltered by Grace Sheltered by Grace is a Logan-based charity committed to transforming lives and ending homelessness by creating a safe, supportive community. Our programs provide vital services to individuals facing homelessness, addressing mental health, trauma, addiction, and domestic violence. As a volunteer at Sheltered by Grace, you’ll be part of a team that believes in giving people the skills, support, and confidence they need to rebuild their lives.

What You’ll Be Doing As a Grants Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in sustaining and expanding our programs by securing funding through grant applications. Key duties include: • Researching Funding Opportunities: Identify grants from foundations, corporate donors, and government sources that align with our mission and programs. • Writing and Submitting Grant Applications: Craft compelling proposals that reflect our values and communicate the impact of our work. • Tracking Applications: Maintain records of application deadlines, submission statuses, and reporting requirements. • Collaborating with Team Members: Work closely with our team to gather essential information for applications, track outcomes, and prepare updates as needed.

Skills and Experience Needed We’re looking for someone with: • Strong writing and research skills, especially with experience in grant writing or similar fields. • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage deadlines. • Proficiency with basic office software (Word, Excel) and the ability to keep records up to date. • A passion for social causes and an interest in helping Sheltered by Grace further our mission.

Prior experience in grant writing is helpful but not required—training and resources will be provided!
