Administration Support & Customer Service – (24-25NSWBLCSAS2148a) PaSA Team Blacktown, NSW
Program and Scholarship Administration team is a combination of paid team members and volunteers in Admin centres in NSW, VIC, QLD and SA, who support administrative aspects of the Learning for Life Scholarship and suite of programs.
The Administration & Customer Service volunteers participate primarily in processing scholarship documents, data entry and child protection and privacy checks for various Learning for Life teams and programs.
Utilising SharePoint and the CRM data base to enter and manage important data. The position has a strong focus on digital administration functions that support The Smith Family’s programs including but not limited to iTrack, Digital Access Program, Student 2 Student and the Learning for Life scholarship.
Through this role, volunteers provide critical background support for the educational and social development of young Australians growing up in poverty to thrive in their education. When young people succeed at school, and go on to create better futures, this has manifold benefits for communities.
Key tasks:
- Utilising SharePoint files and the CRM database to review, enter and manage important data
- Actioning and responding to email and phone enquiries
- Reviewing and screening documents for child protection issues
- General administrative duties
- Data entry and Microsoft Excel spreadsheet management
- Responding to phone enquiries from families and program participants needing support
Competencies / Skills Essentials:
- Advanced computer skills including database management including using Microsoft Office programs
- Highly effective customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work cooperatively in a work team environment
Desirable:
- Systems such as Microsoft Dynamics
- Competency in using MS Teams
Experience / Education Essential:
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook programs including digital administration functions
Desirable:
- Awareness of the Education and Community services sector and issues affecting Australian’s living in poverty.
- Experience in a similar position providing customer service and administrative assistance within a professional and confidential environment
- Related educational studies for example human resources, business administration.
- Awareness of the community and education services sector and issues affecting disadvantaged people
