Video Tutoring Lead
Regional Education Support NetworkKey responsibilities include: Session management
- Work closely with the Student Experience, Tutor Experience, and School Partnerships Leads to establish new video tutoring groups as students and tutors are onboarded
- Provide tutors with the support they need to deliver high quality academic tutoring and mentoring, and to promote asynchronous support and initiatives to students during tutoring sessions their sessions.
- Ensure students and tutors have clarity surrounding the process to use the service (including by serving as a point of contact for questions and comments relating to the service)
- Facilitate intra-subject tutor meetings to foster a collaborative environment amongst tutors Evaluation and quality assurance
- Ensure the consistency of tutoring sessions through the monitoring student and tutor attendance, and finding alternatives in the case of tutor unavailability
- Ensure the quality of tutoring sessions through the invigilation of sessions as needed, particularly during a tutor’s first few sessions
- Ensure the quality of tutoring sessions by monitoring resources & lesson plans created by tutors
- Work closely with the Impact Evaluation Lead to evaluate the service based on feedback and student retention rates, and implement improvements throughout the year. Communication
- Attend and actively contribute to fortnightly team meetings and monthly Impact Huddles.
- Support and collaborate with the Team Leader, and across the team, in the management and co-ordination of work priorities. Management
- Implement effective and efficient business processes and practices, including information management on Notion. RESNance
- Take responsibility for, and pride in, the success of a specific part of RESN’s operations.
- Prioritise creating an exceptional experience for RESN’s students. Contribute to a stimulating and supportive volunteer culture
