About the organisation
HerSpace is a not-for-profit organisation offering trauma-informed wellbeing and mental health recovery services to women survivors (16+) of modern slavery in Australia. Modern slavery includes all forms of sexual exploitation, human trafficking, slavery, and slavery-like practices, including servitude, forced labour, debt bondage, deceptive practices to obtain labour/services, and forced marriage.
Hours and duration of position
5-10 hours a week during 1-3 months (flexible, depending on availability)
Duties/Key responsibilities
- Research and identify suitable grant opportunities from different sources
- Manage and update our internal funding sources database
- Prepare and submit grant applications in accordance with criteria requirements and timeframes
- Support in preparing progress and acquittal reports for successful grant applications
Skills/Qualifications
- Experience in grant writing, report writing and/or fundraising activities
- Research and writing skills
- Tertiary qualifications in social sciences or other relevant disciplines are desirable
- Ability to work both in a team and independently
