📃 This volunteer opportunity will help to create vibrant, green spaces for residents to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
As a Garden Guru, your work will bring joy and cheerfulness to the community by transforming our gardens into beautiful and peaceful areas, allowing residents to experience the positive effects of nature and a colourful environment.
Your contribution helps ensure our staff can focus on caring for the people we serve, while you share the joy of gardening with our community.
📍Location: BlueCare, A5 Flametree Central - Rangeview Respite Centre, 156 Rangeview Place, Ashgrove 4060
👉🏼 About Us: Our respite centre is a welcoming community surrounded by peaceful bushland and open spaces. We offer seniors a day filled with engaging activities and delicious meals, all provided by our close-knit, consistent team. With potential for a garden uplift, our centre will soon be an even more vibrant space for participants to relax and enjoy.
✅ What you’ll be doing:
- Planting and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and other greenery in communal garden areas
- Watering, pruning, and caring for plants to ensure the garden remains vibrant
- Assisting with outdoor beautification projects like weeding, mulching, and tidying up
- Engaging residents in light gardening activities, encouraging social interaction
- Creating pleasant outdoor spaces where residents can relax and enjoy nature
