The PMIQ Academic Outreach portfolio is the liaison between PMIQ, SCHOOLS Universities and students across the state to strengthen the collaboration and evangelize the profession of Project Management.

The portfolio intends to use various engagements to develop relationship with universities, students and other educational institutions to raise knowledge and awareness of the chapter’s work, student projects, curriculum development and collaborative research. This will be supported by vibrant and sustained interaction with students and academics using platform where the industry and academia come together to discuss, share, build knowledge and create future directions.

Key duties of the AD - Academic Outreach will include: • Develop and deliver an Academic Outreach Portfolio Plan for the financial year including Objectives and Key Results, and Initiatives/Work to deliver the results. • Maintain a monthly work plan, attend a monthly Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meeting and produce a monthly portfolio progress report. • Implement initiatives to strengthen the collaboration between PMIQ and academic institutions. • Develop strategies to integrate project management into school curricula and support faculty members in implementing project management concepts. • Foster engagement with students and organise networking opportunities with professional project managers. • Develop programs, resources, and initiatives to promote project management education and awareness. • Maintain relationships with faculty members, university staff, and stakeholders. • Manage the PMIQ Academic Outreach portfolio and contribute to reporting and documentation.
