Can you spare a few hours once a week or fortnight? It all makes a difference, and we would love to hear from you to volunteer at one of our retail op shops.

Who are we?

• Offering support to those in need in our community through funded & unfunded programmes and services

• Operates 3 local charity op shops at Hamilton, Mayfield & Wallsend

• Strong values of Compassion, Integrity & Justice

The Role Specifics?

• Samaritans shops sell quality recycled clothing and accessories, homewares, books, toys, linen and collectibles

• Run by hard-working and dedicated volunteers and staff to contribute funds every year to significantly help the work of Samaritans

• Have a strong focus on saving our environment from waste

Our volunteers help with all aspects of running the stores; from:

• making sure our customers have a great shopping experience
• helping sort our donations
• preparing and pricing our stock for sale
• keeping our shelves full and stores looking great for our customers
• enjoying being part of a friendly team assisting our charity
