This program gives you the flexibility of cooking in your own home with all ingredients and containers provided within our Campbelltown distribution centre. If you enjoy cooking and have been looking for a way to give back, please consider volunteering with Dignity!

Dignity was founded in 2015, we provide emergency housing for people in crisis situations, such as those that are escaping domestic violence or anyone who is experiencing homelessness. We have had a rapid growth with many homes across NSW and firmly believe that people should never be treated as commodities nor as mere recipients of aid. We strive to make a difference in the lives of others by providing food, shelter, clothing, advocacy and education for all our guests, whether they stay with us for 1 night or 20.

We provide all food for our guests while they stay with us. This includes home cooked meals that are then portioned out, packaged in take away containers, frozen and then distributed to our houses for our guests to enjoy. For this, we receive regular OzHarvest and Secondbite donations that are delivered to our base in Campbelltown. These vegetables, meats and staples are then used by our volunteer cooks (Dignity Dishes) to create wonderful home cooked meals for our guests to enjoy. Often this is the first home cooked meal they have had in a very long time.

We provide Food Safety and Food Handling information to ensure the food is safe for our guests to consume, as well as hints, tricks and menu suggestions to creating large quantities of meals. All pick ups and drop offs of produce and completed meals are done by our Dishes to our Campbelltown base. You are able to cook whenever you would like in the comfort of your own home and have complete flexibility on when you cook and how much you make.

We also have an alternative location at Parramatta.
