Key Duties:

• Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, government programs, and corporate sponsors. • Write compelling grant proposals that clearly outline Tanya’s Home’s mission, needs, and the impact of the requested funding. • Collaborate with the Executive Director to gather relevant information for grant applications, including financials, project descriptions, and goals. • Track grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of all applications. • Assist in follow-up reporting for any grants awarded, providing updates on project progress and outcomes.

Skills and Experience Needed:

• Excellent written communication and research skills. • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. • Previous experience in grant writing or fundraising is a plus but not required. • A passion for community service and helping vulnerable populations.

Organisational Background:

Tanya’s Home is a charity based in Frankston, providing supported accommodation and rehabilitation for mothers recovering from addiction. We aim to break the cycle of addiction and family trauma by reuniting mothers with their children. Your work as a Grant Writer will help us secure the funding needed to expand our services and support more families.

Benefits of Volunteering:

Volunteering as a Grant Writer will give you the opportunity to develop your grant writing skills, make a tangible impact on the community, and contribute to the growth of an organisation that supports families in need. You’ll gain valuable experience in non-profit funding and have a direct role in helping Tanya’s Home continue its vital work.

Impact:

Your grant writing efforts will directly support Tanya’s Home’s ability to provide essential services to mothers in recovery. The grants you help secure will fund critical initiatives, from supported accommodation to recovery programs, enabling us to reunite families and offer hope to those most in need.
