The Bower Reuse and repair centres Electrical Recyclers Time: Wednesday afternoons and occasional Saturday mornings
Responsibilities: Are you passionate about sustainability and keeping devices working rather than filling landfill? We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help us with the process of restoring donated electrical appliances and photographic gear. We are looking for people to help with minor repairs, testing and certification (we will train you on this) and cleaning and preparation for sale in our shop. Whether it is re-setting computers, cleaning kitchen appliances, fixing lamps or testing whether a classic camera works – everyone can make a difference and have fun along the way.
We also have opportunities for apprentice team leaders – ideal for students of management or HR to gain experience working with a diverse team of volunteers. Ready to make a difference? Join us today! No experience required – just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll provide the training!
Everyone helps out with daily set up and pack away.
Requirements: No need for any experience or prior knowledge, you can learn on the job and sort things as you go. Wear close-toed shoes and bring gloves if you have them.
