Special Olympics Queensland: Various committee roles

Do you have a desire to build new skills, be a more active member in your community, encourage friendships and joy through exercise, a passion for sports, and enhance the lives of athletes with an intellectual disability?

Expressions of Interest are currently being sort, by Special Olympics Queensland, to join our team, in various voluntary leadership, administrative and support roles.

Special Olympics provides a range of sport, recreation, social and health opportunities for people with an intellectual disability to have fun, be healthy, build self-esteem, demonstrate courage, and make friends.

We strongly encourage and welcome applications from people with strong administrative or management or sports experience, preferably with a lived experience with intellectual disability, and with the ability to build strong and positive working relationships.

As we head towards our AGM, we have a variety of positions available from Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Memberships, to general committee members.

All roles are voluntary.

Desirable capabilities and skills to enhance our Club Team: Compassion, teamwork, positive attitude, organisational leadership, sports, digital and social media are needed to varying degrees across our voluntary roles.

More detailed experience and skills are role specific and can be provided if required.
