Christmas Acquisition/Appeal Thank you calls

Description: Foodbank NSW & ACT needs a small number of volunteers to assist by contacting people who have donated to the Christmas Acquisition/Appeal, welcoming & thanking them, and checking their details.

This role will help Foodbank NSW & ACT to greet and retain donors by giving them direct contact with the organisation. This role does not involve cold calling or ‘up-selling’ people to higher commitment levels.

Key responsibilities: • Contacting people who have made a donation via telephone • Greeting new donors and providing general information about Foodbank NSW & ACT • Updating records and entering data on a computer system • Some general office duties

Skills, experience, and attributes required: • Comprehensive written and spoken English skills • General computer skills and telephone skills • A friendly people person, who likes to help others • Ability to interact professionally with a range of people • General knowledge about Foodbank NSW & ACT • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Willingness to undergo relevant police checks • Experience in similar roles is valued, but not required

Further details and how to apply: This is an ongoing volunteer position based in our Glendenning office. Volunteers for this position need to be available one to two days per week; indicative hours are between 9am to 4pm (negotiable). Volunteers in this position will work closely with our fundraising team. Volunteers will receive supervision and support from the Individual Giving Specialist.

Volunteers will undergo an interview and training process to ensure best fit with the role.
