As a tour guide, you will be invited to learn about our venue, and be able to relate this knowledge to mainly school tour groups.  Schools from the local area and throughout Central Queensland visit our venue to learn about what it was like to live in the 1800’s.

There are no formal qualifications required to undertake these activities, however the volunteer is required to:

• Apply for and hold a current Blue Card (Working with children)
• On-the-job training/learning
• Work alone/independently as well as part of a team
• Have a basic understanding of WH&S requirements at the Heritage Village
• Have the ability to remain calm in difficult situations
• Have the ability to understand and respond to the needs of customers
• Willingness to undertake other volunteering tasks if required
• Have a basic understanding of WH&S requirements at the Heritage Village

Applicants must be 18 years or older.
