Fundraising and Communications

St Kilda Community Housing

As a fundraising and communications volunteer, you will provide crucial support to the organisations fundraising efforts. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising : Assist in planning and organising fundraising events such as charity events, and online campaigns.

Help with the promotion and marketing of fundraising activities through social media, email campaigns, or other communication channels.

Engage with potential donors, sponsors, and supporters to solicit donations or sponsorships.

Participate in donor stewardship activities, including sending thank-you notes, acknowledging donations, and maintaining donor records.

Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to execute fundraising strategies effectively.

Research and identify potential funding sources, grant opportunities, or corporate sponsors.

Represent the organisation at community events, networking functions, or meetings to raise awareness and support for its mission.

Assist with administrative tasks related to fundraising, such as data entry, donor correspondence, or preparing fundraising materials.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with diverse groups of people.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Previous experience in fundraising, event planning, or marketing.

Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Commitment to workplace safety practices and adherence to organisational policies and procedures.

Work Environment: This position is based in an office environment, reporting to the CEO and working collaboratively with the St Kilda Community Housing team.
