Tanya’s Home is a newly established charity committed to creating a supported accommodation and rehab facility for mothers recovering from addiction who have lost custody of their children. Our mission is to reunite families, break the cycle of addiction and generational trauma, and help mothers regain stability in their lives - bringing children home one mother at a time.

We are seeking a passionate and creative Volunteer Event Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and organising fundraising events aimed at raising essential funds to establish Tanya’s Home. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement innovative fundraising ideas, organise large-scale events, and work towards securing sponsorships and donations that will help spread the word about our mission.

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved at the ground level of a meaningful cause and make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable families.

Responsibilities: • Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events to generate crucial funding for Tanya’s Home. • Organise a large fundraising event to raise awareness and garner community support. • Develop creative fundraising strategies and activities to engage potential donors and sponsors. • Identify and build relationships with sponsors, partners, and donors to secure financial and in-kind support. • Work with the team to ensure all fundraising efforts align with the mission of reuniting children with their mothers through recovery and rehabilitation.

Ideal Candidate: • Experience in event planning, preferably in fundraising or non-profit settings. • Strong organisational, communication, and project management skills. • Ability to develop creative and effective fundraising ideas. • Passionate about supporting mothers in recovery and helping to reunite families. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future of Tanya’s Home and making a tangible difference in the lives of children and mothers.
