Encircle Community Services is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to join our team of dedicated tutors. As a volunteer tutor, you will provide valuable support to adult learners in our Conversational English programs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on individuals' lives by helping them improve their language skills and literacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist learners in developing their spoken English skills in a group setting.

• Encourage and facilitate conversations on various topics to build confidence and fluency in a friendly, low-stress atmosphere.

• Teach sessions on a rotating basis with other volunteers.

• Sessions are held at North Lakes Library on Monday mornings and at Encircle Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre on Tuesday and Friday mornings. There are no sessions held during the school holidays.

Requirements:

•  A passion for education and a desire to help others succeed.

•  Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive attitude.

• No prior teaching experience is necessary. Training will be provided by our Adult Literacy Coordinator.
