Administrative Coordinator (Volunteer - Remote/Work from home)

Overview

The purpose of this role is to provide office management and administrative support to Out for Australia, to ensure the smooth functioning of the organisation.

The administrative coordinator will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to support office tasks. These may include maintaining the organisation’s documentation, keeping licences and subscriptions updated and other general administrative processes.

Depending on your available time and capacity, you may also identify additional projects and tasks of interest, if you wish. Anything that can improve the functioning of our organisation would be most welcome.

This important role will ensure the smooth and efficient running of a national charity, contributing to our mission to support LGBTQIA+ young people in the formative stages of their careers.

Responsibilities:

Tasks will vary, but may include keeping office processes and documentation up to date and supporting the CEO with administrative support.

Office administrative support (90%)

  • Assessing current organisational documentation and administrative processes on our file system (Google Drive) and intranet - making improvements where you can.
  • Monitoring and updating internal documentation.
  • Maintaining online memberships, subscriptions, licences etc.
  • Checking in regularly with the CEO (1-2 weekly) and attending our Leadership Team meeting (once every 3 weeks).
  • Actioning other requests for administrative support as required.

General volunteer expectations (10%)

  • Undertake an OFA volunteer induction and role onboarding.
  • Understand and implement OFA’s strategy, vision and mission.
  • Uphold our volunteer code of conduct.
  • Assist with initiatives as required.
