We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Secretary and Policy Assistant in a volunteer role. This fully remote role is ideal for someone passionate about politics and eager to contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administrative Duties: Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and handle correspondence.
• Policy and Document Writing: Assist in drafting and refining policy documents and other relevant materials.
• Public Engagement: Present and speak at online forums and membership events to inform and engage the public.
• Member Recruitment: Help in the recruitment and onboarding of new members.
• Meetings and Forums: Attend and actively participate in online meetings, forums, and discussions.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience or interest in policy writing and political processes.
• Comfortable with presenting and speaking in online settings.
• Ability to commit up to 7.5 hours per week, including attending and speaking at online meetings and drafting documents.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be an Australian resident and have the right to vote. Benefits:
