IPL TV is a Community TV station from the IPL Radio family and focuses on making original content around the theme of Mental Health and Disability. We have been making content since 2020 and have strong relationships with stakeholders in the community. We are a Not-for-profit organization and registered as a charity with DGR Status. Alongside the community Radio and TV channel, we do a lot of community events to raise awareness around mental health issues by interviewing local services and community members.

Many of our volunteers note being part of a family friendly organisation has helped them gain confidence and work skills, enabling them to then move on to paid employment. Work hours are flexible as we are open from 6am to Midnight most days and the experiences gained from volunteering with us has led some of our volunteers to go onto work in other community and commercial Radio stations.

Volunteers with energy and passion are especially sought along with great communicators. Volunteers interested in people as well as passionate about Mental Health and Disability are particularly welcome to apply.

• Oversee the production of TV shows, from conception to broadcast. Coordinate schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Work with presenters and writers to develop show content, including scripts and segments.
• Ensure that all elements of the show (talent, technical, and creative) come together smoothly.
• Capture video footage according to the director’s instructions. Ensure proper framing, focus, and movement.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining camera equipment.
• Handle all audio aspects, including microphone levels, sound mixing, and live audio feeds.
• Cut and assemble video footage into a polished final product. Add graphics, music, and effects as needed.
• Create and execute marketing campaigns to promote shows and community events.
• Establish relationships with local businesses and organizations to enhance the channel’s visibility.
