Duties will include:

  • Cheerfully greeting members and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Working cooperatively to support all other volunteers in the Centre.
  • Being able to answer telephone enquiries, diarise messages and use the photocopier.

After On-Site training, it would be expected that they can:

  • Use the cash register and balance up at the end of the day.
  • Accept memberships, guide other volunteers and assist in the setting up of member activities.
  • Open and close the centre
  • Have an understanding of confidentiality
  • Be able to resolve small issues and refer larger ones to the Voluntary Management Committee
  • Willing to complete external courses e.g. first aid, if requested.
  • Provide relief for other duty managers on leave, sickness etc.

Additional Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an office environment or customer service would be an advantage.
