Commitment: Part-time, leading up to and including the event day
Role Overview: We are seeking passionate and organised individuals to join our volunteer team as Event Coordinators. In this role, you will work closely with the Spirited Foundation team to ensure the smooth planning and execution of the event. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with surf schools, speaker and community support across Australia, encouraging them to host their own paddle out and participate in this historic movement. You will also assist in coordinating local logistics, promoting the event, and providing support on the day.
Key Responsibilities: • Engage with Surf Schools: Reach out to surf schools nationwide to invite them to participate in the event by hosting their own paddle outs between 9 AM and 12 PM on December 1st, 2024. • Event Promotion: Help promote the event within local communities, leveraging social media, local media outlets, and community networks. • Coordination and Support: Assist with event logistics, including tracking participating surf schools, organising local volunteers, and ensuring all event day activities run smoothly.
• Participant Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for surf schools and participants in your designated region, providing them with information, guidance, and support leading up to and on the day of the event. • Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of participating surf schools, event details, and any challenges encountered, reporting back to the Spirited Foundation team.
• On-the-Day Support: Help coordinate the event on the day, ensuring all activities are executed according to plan, and assist with any last-minute needs or issues that may arise. • What We’re Looking For: • Passion for the Cause: A deep commitment to raising awareness and support for youth impacted by domestic violence.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively engage and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including surf schools, volunteers, and community members.

• Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with others and support the broader team’s efforts to make the event a success.
