Bocce Australia and Bocce Victoria are seeking Melbourne-based students to join our project team, working closely with local councils, community members, and stakeholders. Enhance your volunteer portfolio while making a meaningful impact with a state and national sporting body!
We have a number of upcoming initiatives and programs that we need your help with. We are looking for people aged between 18 and 45 to assist with project coordination, project modelling and role out to various communities within Melbourne and Regional Victoria (Morwell & Kyabram)
About Us: Bocce Victoria and Bocce Australia are the leading organizations promoting the sport of bocce across the state and the country. With millions of players worldwide in over 100 countries, bocce is a global sport with deep cultural roots and a growing competitive scene. We're dedicated to fostering youth participation through initiatives like the UCAN2 program and the Metro Raffa 2025 program, both launching in February 2025. These programs aim to build a vibrant community of young players and engage them in fun and exciting events. Join us to be an integral part of promoting bocce, enhancing community engagement, and driving successful events!
What You’ll Do:
• Collaborate with Bocce Victoria and Bocce Australia committees and local councils.
• Organize and participate in community events to promote bocce.
• Attend a monthly meeting in Reservoir and commit to a minimum of 12 months, with at least 3 hours per week.
• Engage in Zoom meetings with relevant councils and travel to project locations (a valid driver's license and own vehicle are required).
Who We’re Looking For:
• Eligibility: Australian permanent residents or citizens, based in Melbourne.
• Commitment: Minimum 12 months with at least 3 hours per week.
• Skills: Dynamic, outgoing individuals with ability to draw a crowd and engage with various audiences. Must have fluent literacy in English (writing, reading, and speaking).
• Requirements: Working with Children Check, Police Check, Working with Aged Care/Disabilities, valid license, and own vehicle.
• Availability: Able to attend monthly meetings in Reservoir and Zoom meetings as needed.

• Paid Opportunities: This is an unpaid Volunteer opportunity, although there will be additional opportunities throughout the year to earn $25 per hour for approved events.
