Patient group network facilitator
Centre For Community-Driven ResearchWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced volunteer to facilitate a steering committee for patient organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare advocacy, patient engagement, and non-profit governance. The consultant will be responsible for guiding the committee's regular meetings,, fostering collaborative decision-making, and ensuring effective communication among diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitation of Meetings
- Lead and facilitate steering committee meetings, ensuring discussions are inclusive, focused, and productive.
- Implement meeting agendas, ensuring alignment with the organisation's objectives and priorities.
- Encourage active participation from all members, fostering a culture of respect, transparency, and shared decision-making.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in healthcare advocacy, patient engagement, or non-profit management, with a demonstrated ability to facilitate diverse groups and drive consensus.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of patient advocacy, healthcare systems, and non-profit governance.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including patients, healthcare professionals, and industry representatives.

Time commitment
You will be required to meet with the organisation's Chief Executive on a monthly basis to discuss the approaches and direction needed.
The committee itself will meet approx. four times a year. You will need to facilitate the meetings and take basic notes on action items.
We are looking for someone that can commit to this role over the next 12 months.
