We are seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our team on a volunteer basis. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy across multiple platforms. Your efforts will play a critical role in increasing our online presence, engaging with our community, and raising awareness about the impact of our programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Develop and curate engaging content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Social Media Management: Schedule and publish content regularly across platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
  • Community Engagement: Interact with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Campaign Development: Assist in creating and executing social media campaigns to promote specific events, programs, or fundraising initiatives, including paid social media campaigns when applicable.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of social media posts and campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to enhance our social media strategy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, as well as other team members, to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all channels.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Prior experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing is preferred but not required. A strong personal interest in social media and online communication is essential.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
    • Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences.
    • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva) and familiarity with photo and video editing tools.
  • Attributes:

    • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage time effectively.
