As a member of the volunteer team at Engadine Community Services, you will be helping us provide a great experience for our senior clients by transporting them to and from social group outings.

Duties

• Operating a bus safely and efficiently to transport clients to various locations.

• Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Ensuring clients are also adhering to the rules.

• Picking up and returning the bus to the depot for each outing.

• Inspecting the bus before and after each trip to ensure no rubbish or belongings are left behind.

• Assisting other bus volunteers with elderly clients who need help boarding and exiting the bus.

• Communicating with ECS staff to coordinate routes and schedules

• Reporting any accidents, incidents or mechanical problems to the appropriate authorities and ECS staff

Prior experience driving a passenger bus is desirable but not a requirement.

We serve the people of Engadine and the surrounding areas, providing social support for seniors, information and referrals to aged services, playgroups and a toy library for young families.
