The Ballarat Botanical Gardens Foundation is embarking on a PR campaign to position the Foundation for successful fundraising efforts by building brand awareness in the community. At the end of this campaign, our supporters will know who we are and what we do and be motivated to donate to support our work.

Reporting directly to the Board working group/OR a subcommittee of the Board, this unpaid position offers an ideal opportunity for a graduate or final year student looking to establish or build their networks and develop their portfolio. Mentoring from experienced communications and marketing professionals is available. Experienced persons are also encouraged to apply.

Job details • 6 – 8 months starting as soon as possible, with the possibility for ongoing opportunities • Up to 5 hours per month

Main duties and responsibilities • Manage the Ballarat Botanical Gardens Foundation’s social media accounts (Facebook, Insta, LinkedIn) • Plan and develop digital content

Skills • High level written and verbal communication skills • Intermediate to high level Microsoft Office skills • Organised and able to meet deadlines • Collaborative • Demonstrates initiative • Skills in developing digital content – phone photography and videography – highly desirable
