Volunteer Grant Writer
Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Grant Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding that will support our ongoing projects and expand our reach. This is a remote position, providing flexibility while contributing to a cause that makes a tangible difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government, foundations, and private sector sources. Develop compelling, well-researched, and detailed grant proposals tailored to the specific requirements of each funding opportunity. Collaborate with our team to gather necessary information and data to support grant applications. Manage the grant application process from start to finish, including tracking deadlines, submission requirements, and follow-ups. Maintain a comprehensive calendar of grant deadlines and submissions to ensure timely completion. Report on the progress of grant applications and funding secured to the leadership team. Assist in preparing reports for funders on the outcomes of funded projects.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in grant writing, preferably within the non-profit sector. Strong research, writing, and communication skills with an eye for detail. Familiarity with grant application processes and requirements from various funding sources. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively. A passion for social causes, particularly in improving the lives of marginalized communities. Experience in the healthcare or social services sectors is a plus.
