Bicycle repairer

bikes4life have repaired and gifted thousands of bikes over the years, both here and overseas.

In Australia our bikes have gone to indigenous groups, refugees, the PCYC, disability organisations and various children’s charities. Overseas our bikes have made their way to Asia, Pacific, Africa and Middle East. It is worth noting that many of the bikes gifted overseas, end up as the main family transport, and therefore become an invaluable asset.

We are currently expanding our Sydney workshop, so we can gift even more bikes to those in need.

Based at the Kimbriki Resource Centre we are looking for interested volunteers to join us on each Wednesday between 2pm -4pm.

One or two of our volunteers are in flexible full time work, and love the contrast of spending a week day afternoon using their hands rather than their minds. So - full time workers feel free to apply too!

Whilst experience in bike maintenance would be great, we are looking for people keen to get their hands dirty, and learn new skills.

So, come and check out our friendly crew of volunteers, turn unwanted bikes into valuable assets, and reduce land fill.
