Join Our Ice Cream Social Team: Spread Joy and Sweetness to Elderly Residents! Do you have a generous spirit and a love for spreading happiness? We’re on the lookout for a dedicated volunteer to join our Ice Cream Social Team, where you’ll brighten the lives of elderly residents in our aged care home with delicious ice cream and cheerful company.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve and distribute ice cream to residents
- Engage in friendly conversations and offer companionship
- Help set up and organize ice cream socials
- Share smiles and create enjoyable experiences for the residents
Why Volunteer? Many elderly Australians in aged care homes experience feelings of loneliness and isolation. By volunteering just an hour a week, you can make a meaningful impact on their lives. Your presence and the joy of an ice cream treat can provide a wonderful break from routine and foster a sense of community and connection.
Program Details:
- Commitment: Wednesdays, 2:00-3:00pm
- Requirements: Over 18 years old, able to pass a National Criminal History Check (provided and paid for by us), and consistently available.

- Communicate effectively and empathetically
- Are reliable and punctual
