Would you like to visit an older person and make a real difference in their life? We have an Italian-born lady in Upper Ferntree Gully who would love to have someone to chat with. She speaks excellent English also, loves listening to Italian music and Elvis Presley, and would benefit from short, regular visits to help with her loneliness. Visits just before lunch or around 1.30pm are ideal.

MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

We look for a minimum of 2 visits per month, with a commitment of 6 months/ongoing.
