We are an independent community foundation based in Melbourne’s Inner North. We manage community philanthropic dollars to provide funds for projects that create prosperous, connected, and cohesive communities in Melbourne’s Inner North.

To fulfill on this vision the Foundation:

  • invests in local not for profit organisations through grants and other support;
  • connects donors to local community groups by managing a donor network for people to contribute by way of small and large donations; and
  • builds partnerships to expand community leadership across the region.

Since inception in 2017, the Inner North Community Foundation has distributed grants of over $6.4 million to over 300 local community organisations.

The Foundation has developed a community resource as part of our 'Leave a Legacy, Not a Mess' project which supports people to plan their legacy, and which has been very enthusiastically received so far.

We are seeking to recruit a suitable and experienced volunteer to assist with the delivery of this new and important project and look to increase the reach of this resource, with the assistance of a Project Co-ordinator.

As part of the 'Leave a Legacy, Not a Mess' project, we are seeking an enthusiastic volunteer who can demonstrate:

  • An ability to communicate with a wide variety of people;
  • Good record keeping skills; and
  • A connection to Melbourne’s inner north (imperative)

The key responsibilities of the Project Co-Ordinator include:

  • Distributing the resource to a range of community and business organisations;
  • Identifying and co-ordinating speaking opportunities with local service clubs and other community groups;
  • Creating and maintaining a list of community settings where the resource is placed and ensuring that stock is up to date and available; and
  • Maintaining and updating the 'Leave a Legacy' master files.
