Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Event Manager to join our team on a volunteer, part-time basis. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about women’s empowerment, has a knack for organizing impactful events, and is looking to make a difference in the global community. Working alongside with the Event Director, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing our events and programs, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage events from start to finish, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and community outreach programs.
- Coordinate with speakers, panelists, and other stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.
- Develop event schedules, timelines, and run sheets, ensuring all logistical details are covered.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
- Oversee event promotion and marketing activities, working closely with the marketing team to maximize attendance and engagement.
- Coordinate with volunteers and team members, assigning tasks and ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.
- Handle on-site event management, including setup, registration, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Evaluate event success and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably in a non-profit or volunteer capacity.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
- Passion for women’s empowerment and alignment with the mission and values of the Global Women Peace Foundation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
