Restoring Habitat for Koala Conservation in Cook Reserve (Thurs 3 Oct)
Conservation Volunteers AustraliaJoin us at Cook Reserve to help restore key koala habitat corridors around Smiths Creek to support the conservation of the threatened Campbelltown Koala population whilst also learning about the wonderful plants and animals that call this place home.
Under the canopy of Eucalyptus trees, you'll first embark on a hands-on adventure that involves pulling weeds to restore critical habitat for Koalas and help reverse the current trend of Koala population decline in NSW.
Following our habitat restoration activity, we will then be joined by local experts from Campbelltown City Council who will lead us on a bushwalking tour of Smiths Creek; where you will have a chance to see and learn about all of the wonderful wildlife that calls this places home - and maybe even Koalas (if we're lucky)!.
This project received grant funding from the Australian Government under the Saving Koalas Fund.
