Sunnyhaven has been working alongside people with disability for more than 70 years. Supporting people in the St George area, Sunnyhaven is a not-for-profit organisation offering accommodation, respite, individual support, support coordination and day programs for adults with disability.

The position is located at our Head Office whereby you will be an integral part of the team providing support to those that arrive at the centre, plus administration support for the Managers of the office.

This is a dual role for someone interested in disability support and office work. As a volunteer you will work and develop the skills of people with disabilities in a broad range of program areas. The programs run everyday. Volunteers will need to make a commitment to this role for the medium to long term.

Your tasks will be: Develop rapport with the clients at the site. Provide general support to our office staff performing day to day operations including but not limited to: Data entry (e.g maintain & update information in the system); Prepare and create document packs (for training, events etc); Record keeping and file management; Conduct internet research; Mail distribution within the office; Liaise with staff and volunteers;

Other administrative tasks as required. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of Sunnyhaven’s work. Build and effectively manage relationships at all levels within Sunnyhaven, as well as all external parties i.e., participants. Be a team player, by building rapport, being team focused and supporting the whole Sunnyhaven team to achieve their mission. Active contribution to a safe working environment
