Volunteer Position: Treasurer for Bocce Federation of Victoria

Are you passionate about sports and eager to make a meaningful impact? Bocce Victoria, the premier organization promoting the sport of bocce in our community, is looking for a dedicated Volunteer Treasurer to join our enthusiastic team as a member of the Executive Committee!

Position: Volunteer Treasurer Term: 2-Year Term Starting September 2024

About the Role: As the Treasurer of Bocce Victoria, you'll play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, contributing to the smooth running of our programs and events. This volunteer position is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in sports management, with the opportunity to receive valuable references for your contribution.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Oversee and manage financial transactions and reporting.

Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial planning. Accounting Software: Experience with Xero, MYOB, or similar platforms (advantageous but not essential).

Training: Full training will be provided in using TidyHQ. Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.

Requirements: Experience: An accounting background or book keeping background is essential. Ideal for 2nd/3rd year accounting students looking to gain practical experience, Parent with some spare time that would like to contribute to the community.

Checks Required: Police Check, Volunteer Working with Children's Check, and Working with People with Disability Check.

Commitment: 2-3 hours per week, including attendance at a monthly evening meeting (remote attendance available).

Language: Must be fluent in English.

Residency: Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident living in Victoria.
