We are looking for compassionate and inspiring individuals to spend one-on-one time with seniors visiting at our friendly Arana Hills Respite Centre. If you have insight into how older people with dementia see and experience the world around them and would like to build friendships and reduce loneliness through smiles, conversation, and meaningful activities, please read on.

In this fulfilling role, you will be matched with a talented Japanese lady who enjoys painting and crafts. She is looking for a creative volunteer (who can speak Japanese!) to join her for painting and arts. (Female preferred).

Situated at 2 Mitchell Street in Arana Hills, Arana Hills Respite Centre is for older persons and people with special needs in the Pine Rivers area. It is a wonderful place to connect, meet people, and make new friends. Our services include a centre-based day respite and a diverse range of programs and activities, social groups, and social outings.

Various times are available on weekdays between 10am - 2pm, one to two hours a week or fortnight. Visiting times available: Tuesday, Thursday

Volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan, provide proof they have received one primary COVID-19 vaccinations before commencement, and do not provide personal care.
